  • You're building a rental inventory and need the most common, most replaceable box.
  • You don't know what room the speaker will be in on any given night.

Choose a QSC 10-inch powered speaker if:

  • You have a subwoofer system that handles frequencies below 90-100 Hz.
  • Weight is a real issue—stairs, tight racks, festival load-in.
  • You're doing near-field work, like monitors or small corporate presenters.
  • The savings from the 12-inch budget gets reinvested into a sub, more microphones, or a better mixer.

The best choice depends on the system, not the speaker. The K12.2 is the workhorse. The 10-inch can be the smarter financial call when you don't ask it to do the work of a 12-inch.

If you're still looking at a spec sheet and a schematic symbol and wondering which one is 'better,' stop. Better is not a property of the box. It's a property of the match between the gear and the job.
